I’m really horrible about updating this thing…especially since life has been a little bit crazy lately.

A lot has changed in the last 4 months.  My wonderful little niece has been here and she’s now over 5 months old and I love her more than pretty much anything.  She’s a sweet and beautiful little girl and I can’t get over how precious she is.

Back at the end of May, I got pancreatitis.  It was one of the most painful experiences of my life and after going to the doctor, a bunch of my major health problems were re-confirmed and I finally decided it was time that I do something serious about it.  I’ve now lost 80 lbs. in the last 4 months and feel soooo much better about life.  I plan to keep losing, though I’ve hit a bit of a rough patch this week with midterms going on…gotta keep at it.  I’m also planning on running a 5k next month.  Never in my life did I think I would do something like that.  I remember high school when just the mile run used to kill me…now I’m doing 3…and hopefully will continue adding more in the future :)  It’s so empowering to do things you never thought you could.  

Been back in school for a couple months now…this is my last semester and I’m taking 18 credit hours + working part-time + commuting almost an hour each way every day of the week.  It’s been rough and stressful and very time-consuming, but I only have to survive about 2 and a half more months of it!  I’m starting my job hunt here pretty soon…going to be sending out some resumes in the next week or so.  Very exciting business.

Lastly, I’ve recently started dating a guy who is absolutely fantastic and treats me better than anyone I’ve met in a really long time.  It hasn’t formulated into anything serious just yet, but it’s looking pretty promising.

In other words, I’m super busy all the time these days and I feel terrible that I never post anything anymore, but such is life…just thought I’d check in.
